9th Lullaby ♫ - Action for Goldenrod/Video Post

[ Not many people in Johto knew it, but on the fifth of February is her birthday. Lacus didn't want big parties or over the top celebrations. What she really wanted to be around the familiar scene of being around children. So she decided to visit a small preschool in Goldenrod. She isn't alone. She asked Athrun to go with her.

Unlike other times, Liana the Mawile is the one holding the camera still with Mister Pink the Jigglypuff directing of course. The video showed Lacus surrounded by a small group of children, and only showing brief instances of Athrun standing and watching them in the background.

One young boy was sitting comfortably on her lap. It was story time and everybody wanted to listen and waited for her to begin.]

Deep under the sea, colourful fishes glide among strange plants which wave gently to and fro in the crystal-clear water. In the deepest part which no human has ever visited, the mer-people live...

[ Not all of the children were enamored by the story though. Two of the older boys were taking advantage of the fact Lacus was distracted to do mischief. One boy found a pair of sharp scissors and was playing with it with his friend. Liana and Mister Pink caught this all on film. Liana was about to go and take the scissors away, but luckily Athrun saw this.

He took the scissors away from the kids' grasps and there was a lot of jumping and reaching while Athrun tried to get them to behave. Angry and frustrated, both boys --- with all their strength kicked Athrun on both his shins causing Athrun to give a brief pained look. Recovering quickly because of his training. This is followed by screaming from the two boys --- interrupting Lacus's story. Lacus was quickly by their side, trying to comfort two the boys.

She turned to Athrun, asking him quietly what happened. The boys wailed louder but while Lacus looked away, they gave each other a satisfied wink. Boys will be boys.

The video finishes with a shot of Mister Pink laughing hysterically and pointing at Athrun. ]

[ Lacus answers a few minutes after she was able to calm the two boys down. Still a little confused and lost to what had just happened. ]

Oh, Maria ... do you know what happened?

Maria saw, Maria saw! They were playing with scissors, that's re-ally dangerous!

[ she nods to herself, as if she's proud she knows this lesson by heart. ]

That's simply one of the hazards of being around children, I'm afraid, and I'm sure your friend recognizes it as well. My sister was always fond of the shin-kicking method, herself. It's something one just accepts as part of the experience.
